The Virginia Animal Control Association advances the field of Animal Care and Control.  The Board of Directors is made up of a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and eight (8) additional board members, which includes the past president. 

Each member of the Board must be a VACA member in good standing and is elected for a term of 3 years. Board meetings are held quarterly, with the annual meeting and election of new Board members at the annual conference. 

Each Board member is assigned a district within the State and is the representative for all members in his or her district.
